Gregory Derkenne is a Belgium-based international fashion photographer. He graduated in 2004 from the photography department at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc Liège, and started his professional photography career in 2006.
Essential in his photography is “the meaning and psychological portrait of a character “ as Gregory states. When portraying his models, Gregory is continually looking for a certain contradiction, composing pictures that breathe a feeling of rawness, with a definite twist.
His images have been published in magazines such as I-D, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, D La Repubblica, Citizen K, L’Officiel and Vogue and he worked for brands like Levi’s, Repetto, Paule Ka and L’Oreal. Besides traveling around the world for projects, Gregory also spends a lot of time in Belgium, his motherland, where he works as a creative director for the brand “Filles a Papa”.
